The Physics of Defeat

Main points of the Physics of Defeat, which I show are wrong in the book:

-Nothing can travel faster than the speed of light

-Relativistic time dilation causes real aging effects

-The Universe is expanding away from us at great speed

-The Universe is not stable on large scales

-Black Holes will swallow everything in their sphere of influence never to return

-We cannot communicate faster than light

-Dark Matter and Dark Energy make up most of the Universe's mass and energy making it too mysterious and dangerous to explore

-We cannot even begin to think about venturing far out into the Universe in our lifetime or even several lifetimes

-The Universe sprang from nothing with no purpose and no persistence speaking to Unintelligent Design

-We need fantasy objects like Wormholes, Warp Drives, Portals, and Time Machines to even begin to discuss deep space travel. These objects are real but we can't tell you how they work in many cases, let alone how to build them.
